About a box

Hello Paul,
I have to make a pile of round hat boxes and I wonder if I should do the cover (of Box) the same way that you do for the square . Is it not easier to cut from the begining a bigger circle of sugarpaste and put it on top? Or is it easier to cut it after putting it on the cake?
Thank you for those great lessons ! You Do have a way for teaching technics that make cake decorating easier !

Hi dianafirst

I’m no expert at at making boxes, I think I would probably do it Paul’s way because a more equal and level shape can be achieved. A bigger shape from the beginning might stretch and distort. This is just how I see it, more experienced members will be able to give a more accurate answer, or you could practice both styles to see which is better. I’m sorry I can not be of more help.
