My cake does not come out well despite following all the steps. Rather it taste like a brownie?? Any reason why is that ??
Hi, Its Paul here. The chocolate cake is a very very rich deep cake and does have a thick crust. It’s designed to be strong for carving and stacking cakes. If it’s extra thick like a brownie it might need a little longer in the oven next time. If you head over to the CakeFlix Q&A you will find a lot of chat about the recipe. https://www.cakeflix.com/questions?s=chocolate+cake
Thanks, Paul
Hi, could I just ask what sort of oil you’re using please, and if the oven temperature is 160 degree fan or conventional? Thank you
Paul used vegetable oil, but you can also use rapeseed. 160 degrees is for a fan assisted oven.
