Danielle starts off by cutting out the letters freehand from her very own flower paste, which is great for quick drying. Remember to cut those lines with confidence, in one movement, to get the sharp finish.

4. Making the Roses

Danielle makes lovely, large sugarpaste roses using a very simple and quick technique. The trick is not to smudge the pieces of sugarpaste too thinly.

5. Painting the silhouette

Danielle uses two sizes of paintbrush and a sponge to create a haunting silhouette of an old house and a tree. Remember… paint with confidence and work quickly – as thinking too much can ruin it.
