Cake pan conversions / lemon cake

Hi

I am relatively new to baking and decorating and have a quick question regarding cake pans. In Paul’s online intro classes he makes a chocolate cake for a 6 inch and 10 inch pan. Would this convert easily to say 2 x 8 inch pans? Is there a standard kind of conversion rule when using different size pans or is it really trial and error?

Also, is the recipe for his lemon cake (white chocolate ganache tutorial) available as that looked great!

Thanks

Julie

Have a look at Lindy Smith’s chart on cake pan sizing. It’s quite detailed and enables you to easily work out how much mix you’ll need. I think you can get it on line, if not it’s in her book. Good luck x

I’d google lindy smiths size conversion chart, it’s on her website and gives great detail of how to change the sizes of the mixes to suit the tins
