Covering number cake tins

Help is there anyone out there that can tell me how to cover a number 6 and 0 cake. I have only ever attempted a number 5 and that was a complete disaster!!!

Hello babydoll

Cover the numbers as usual and indent the holes for the six and the zero gently to make a dip. Snip an X in the centre almost but not to the edge of the cake then ease the flaps down into the hole. Another way is remove the centre icing, roll out a rectangle of icing to the depth and diametre of the hole. Roll the rectangle very loosely as you would a newspaper and drop it into each hole. Unfold the roll carefully sticking against the sides. Both ways will leave join marks, smooth them lightly to blend with a moist finger. I usually extrude some icing and make a rope around the numbers to neaten off. You’ll find it easier to decorate directly on the serving board. See how to decorate the board here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdxJ-z2xka8
Just fast forward until to get to that bit, the rest you know already or if not watch it all but I wouldn’t recommend too much trex on roll out surface. Hope it helps.
