How much fondant do I need to cover a 16” cake board. Doesn’t need to be as thick as cake covering.

It depends how you want to do it.

If you want to cover the whole board, allow approximately 1.5k. You’d need to let it dry for a good two or three days before using.

However, if you’d like to save on the icing, do the bandage method which will take approximately 850g – 1k. It depends on how thick you want the icing to be. I roll it approximately 3mm and use bandage method. ?
