life size dress form cake

Hello I have to make a life size dress form cake for 150 people and was wondering if you have ever done one? and if you have can you pls let me know what kind of support you recommend I use….I was considering PVC pipes for the center and wooden boards and stand and also wooden dowels for support in between the cakes. Pls help me…I need to make this cake for April. There is a similar cake that was made by The Pink Cake Box, I asked them for help but have nt heard from them as of yet.

Thank you very much

Hi vanityscakes

Is this the Pink cake box cake http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/3d-sculpted-bridal-bodice-2014-01-17.htm
If it is, that particular cake is over 5′ tall and would serve far more than 150 people. Paul has a wedding dress cake here http://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/wedding-shower-cake which would certainly be an excellent guide for a scaled up adaptation of the armature to the height you’d want your cake to be. The bottom cakes could just be dummy. What do you think??
And also wondered how you would transport such a large structure if making the same size as that of the Pink cake box.

Here is an article about a life-sized dress cake. It took 17 tiers of cake and would feed 2000 people…! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/01/wedding-cake_n_2793295.html
