Monique Ascanelli is the Founder and Editor of The Cake Topper & TCT Blog as a place to showcase cake inspiration, tutorials and recipes. Along with sharing her love and expertise for cake, the TCT Blog also served as a document of her travels throughout a variety of countries.

Shortly after her daughter was born in 1996, she started cake decorating professionally as a way to earn money while raising her daughter. After a move to Germany in 2013, The Cake Topper was founded. Monique is currently teaching classes and demonstrating at tradeshows worldwide. She has published several cake decorating books and has been featured in Cake & Bake Heaven Magazine.
