What amount of ingredients do I need for a sponge cake, can’t find any simple recipes and need to know how to get the height right???

You’ll find two useful tools, the ready recknor or the cakeometer for working out different size tins here:

I recommend you use the cakeometer link which will take you to the Cake Baker site. Fill in your ingredients in the table they give, don’t forget to change the shape of the tin and depth. The tool will automatically work it all out for you in order of ingredients you type in.
