What is the best way to make 6 inch high sponge cake? Is it better to make 3 sandwich pans?

I think the sandwich tins make nice even layers and bake quickly too. If you make a really deep sponge you’d need to bake it a long time for the middle to cook. The outside could burn and there’s also the possibility of the cake collapsing. Much safer to bake several shallow layers.
