I have the dinkydoodle airbrush (which I love btw) and I use the kroma kolors. I have had great results with these. Hope this helps xx
I have the Dinkydoodle as well and it’s great, very easy to use and light weight. I have use Americolour colours and they are great. Nice and vibrant with good coverage. The come in a a range of pearl colours also.
Hi Linda
I use Dinkydoodle too. Dawn Butler sold us a starter kit which included some colours. You could give her a call and ask for samples, worth trying!! http://www.dinkydoodle.co.uk/Contact-Us.html .
The difference between Dinkydoodle colours and eg Kroma colours is that the DD are alcohol based and Kroma are water based. There is a difference in the way they are used because the alcohol evaporates almost instantly giving a very dry application. I do find DD a little on the expensive side and have been using Kroma with good results. Dawn does say to be careful with pearlised colours, some can be very thick and can cause the machine to clog. You’ll get all that information when your machine arrives.
There is a lot to learn when using an airbrush, all comes with experimenting and experience. It might be worth going on a course to learn techniques. Dawn runs couses, I think in Nottingham. The airbrush company run courses in Lancing, West Sussex. I’m sure you may have courses in your own area. There are lots of different tutorials on youtube as well. x
