Hi anthonia

If you scroll back up to your question you will see a search box, type ‘fondant mixing’ in there and it will take you to a recipe for making fondant icing.  You can buy ready made fondant  from any supermarket or from your  local cake decorating supply shop. If you need more help, please just ask.

You might also be interested in petal paste/gum paste recipe. If you type ‘Clarke Baxter’ in the search box, it will take you to two recipes for making gum paste which is different to fondant and is used for making models and flowers.

Hi anthonia

I’m answering your question posted in ‘Clarke Baxter’ about tylose and CMC powder. They are both the same and are manufactured products, gum Tragacanth is a natural product, but they all act in the same way. You can make flowers from all these products by adding them to ready made fondant. Gum Tragacanth will make stronger flowers but, yes you can use any of them. I have also posted a recipe for Mexican paste, you can find it under ‘Patchwork cutters’ in the search box. Mexican paste can also be used for making certain flowers because it can be rolled out very thinly. If you need any more help please ask. It would be better if you come back to your own question, because it is still a current question and easier to find. x
