It really depends where you are and the kind of prices your competitors would be charging and on your own skills. Some places command much higher prices than others. What you can do is calculate the cost of all your ingredients, boards, boxes, ribbons, wires and any other embellishments. Decide on how much you want to pay yourself per hour and add on the amount of hours it has taken to bake and decorate the cake. The hourly amount you pay yourself is up to you. If your skills are a of good standard then don’t under pay yourself. It should not be below the standard hourly rate, so between £10 and £ 20 ph is not considered expensive. Add any addition expenditure like gas/electric and delivery costs if customer is not collecting.
