Cakes to expose

Hi!
I would like to create some dummy cakes to be exposed, but I don’t know if it is a good idea to have them in fondant as I think it would attract some insects.
I there anyway to have a display of those cakes without having these problems?
What could I use instead of fondant?
Thanks a lot already!! 🙂

Hello beckangela

Covering with the dummy with fondant is fine. The fondant goes very hard and it doesn’t really attract any insects at all. Use an inexpensive fondant it keeps the costs down.
