I have been asked to do a candy jar with candy spilling out of it. I was thinking two 7″ round cakes (4″ deep) but not sure about the lid (which is to be slightly opened). Any ideas would be appreciated.

There are quite a few options, you could use a cake board and cover with fondant or use a board with marshmallow crispies molded on top then covered in fondant. you could also do a lid with chocolate or even modelling chocolate x
