cookies

Hi I have never made shaped cookies covered with sugarpaste before but want to make quite a few halloween ones. Once the cookies are covered how can i store them while the sugarpaste is drying and prevent the cookies drying out at the same time, before adding the details to the sugarpaste once they are dry? Should i put them in a single layer in shallow boxes do you think? Any help would be appreciated, thankyou.

Hi JustJennys Cakes

That’s the way I do it too. I also cover a sheet cake pan with parchment paper and lay the cookies on that and just lay another piece of parchment over the top without touching the cookies. I have several cake cooling trays which come in handy for the job! If you’d like to see a member recipe look here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/not-exactly-a-cake-question x

Thankyou miwl, my concerns were exactly the same and was worried the cookies would go soft while the sugarpaste was drying. Ill try the airing cupboard or oven to dry them quicker and see how it goes. Thankyou for your advice x
