Hi suejb58
You can see the same cake here http://www.trulydesignercakes.co.uk/anniversary-cornelli.php
Since you’re ordering the chocolate for this particular project it would be reasonable to charge for all of it even though you’ll have a little left over. Same applies for sugarpaste.
Price up all the ingredients, ribbons, box, board, embellishments, the time it takes to make and decorate the cake and then add on the hourly rate at which you are paying yourself. You’ll need to add on additional costs like gas/electric and price of delivery if the cake is not being collected.
If you need help with making primroses you’ll find it here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/how-to-make-a-primrose and advice on making profit from cakes here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/how-to-make-profit-from-cake-decorating here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/how-to-make-profit-from-cake-decorating and what and how to charge for cakes here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/what-should-i-charge-for-cakes Might also be helpful to see what a similar cake costs in your area.
Hope this helps and good luck with your cake. X
Thank you again for your advice ill look on the suggested sites ill let you know how it goes lol
Hi Sue
I don’t know whether the cake in the link is filled with buttercream or ganache! Ganache comes out more expensive so just bear that in mind.
