Cupcake stand

Morning everyone!
I’ve got to make my first cupcake tower later this month and am looking to purchase a stand. The stand needs to hold about 100 cupcakes. The stand on culpit seems to be quite expensive at £150. I have seen others on eBay but can’t guarantee the quality!

Has anyone brought one which they would recommend? Or know of any reputable suppliers of stands? Or is it better to get the more expensive one from culpitt?

Thanks in advance

Hi ryan
Don’t know if this would help at all but Paul made a cupcake tower in one of his tutorials from drum boards. I think his holds about 46 cupcakes but you could make it larger to hold 100.

I bought stands from a seller called weddingacrylics on ebay & they have been really good. When they get delivered you do have to take all the protective sheet of each layer which can take a little time but the 2 I’ve had all fixed together well & if any part breaks they sell spare parts. If you go to my facebook page facebook.com/chefdanscustomcakes I am using one of the stands at a wedding fayre.

Hi ryan

Thought this may help too for the amount of tiers you might need http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/wedding-tower

Thanks for your help everyone, I will look at the eBay seller as I think my customer would prefer the clear one. Thanks again
