decoration ideas on cake without sugarpaste

I am making a lemon drizzle birthday cake for someone who doesn’t like sugar paste or buttercream. How can i add flower decorations onto the plain sponge? want to make it more interesting than just a plain cake.

Hello Tomand he123

Decorate the cake in exactly the same way as you would on a sugarpasted cake. Make up your decorations and place them on the cake, stick down with white melted chocolate or royal icing. The decorations could be made with marzipan or modelling chocolate which can both be coloured. Best of all, unlike gumpaste decorations these can be eaten and enjoyed!
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help. Will definately use modelling chocolate.

You could also make flavoured modelling chocolate by using flavoured callets as seen here:
https://www.chocolatefalls.co.uk/chocolate-cocoa/flavoured
or you could flavour the chocolate with oil based flavours from LorAnn oils.
If you need more information post again.

EDIT

I deleted the original Amazon link, the one I have linked now appears to be better because the chocolate is already coloured and flavoured. Hope it helps.
