Hello, does anyone have any suggestions what type of decorations you can put onto a cupcake that has a cream cheese frosting on. When you use fondant ones they melt after a while. They also have to be black as the theme is black and white. Many thanks.

Do you put cmc/tylose powder in the fondant before cutting out – maybe this would stop them melting. I read somewhere on this site about this problem but cannot find it again (it may have been something like coating the back of the shape with edible glue I think but may be wrong someone out there may remember properly)

You’ll find some answers here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/soggy-cupcake-toppers including one from your own self!! I think the candy melts on the back of the toppers to stop them melting is favourite with me. Or make them out of modelling chocolate.
