Depreciation

Just watching the set up costs lesson and wondering whether I should depreciate all the equipment like rolling pins, cutters etc or whether it would just be the more expensive things like the oven, mixer, laptop? Thanks

Depreciation is normally on capital items so fixtures and fittings (oven, laptop etc). Things like rolling pins cutters etc are consumables so you wouldnt normally depreciate these

I agree. When I ran pubs, we could only depreciate capital items, carpets, kitchen fittings, etc etc, whereas curtains and pictures were not covered . It’s only really the assets of the business, items that could be sold, can be depreciated, including delivery vans or your company car if you have one.
