Good morning! Can I bake a 3″ deep cake in a 4″ deep tin or will it burn/overcook/affect it in an adverse way? I’m trying understand why I’d buy shallower tins (apart from cost) or whether I’d do better to buy the deeper ones if I can cook all depths of cake in them.

It’s not a problem to do. Most of my cake pans are 4” deep and I use them for 3” deep recipes. 🙂
