Diabetic sponge cake

Have you a good recipe for a sponge that is suitable for a diabetic, also a recipe for buttercream suitable for type 1 diabetic please

Diabetics don’t need to eat special food, they just need to be aware of the sugar content. You could use sugar subsitutes or half Stevia and half sugar, bearing in mind sugar substitutes if eaten in quantity will act as laxitive. Several recipe guides on how to use sugar substitutes can be found online by googling ‘sponge cake for diabetics’. Making a trial cake will help establish whether the recipes produce a good cake. Even then, the diabetic can only consume in moderation. 🙂
