I’m not quite sure whether it’s a cake which you want to carve as a dragon or a dragon cake topper.
If it’s toppers you want to make, search in google images ‘dragon cake toppers’. The shape is very simple and can be copied by simply looking at pictures. Perhaps something like this:
Some of the images may be tutorials, click and see whether it takes you to a site page.
There are hundreds more, some for children and others more on an adult theme like weddings.
In the tutorial library Paul has the friendly dragon cake which could be adpated and made smaller.
There is also the dinosaur cake which again could be re worked slightly to give a more dragon appearance by extending the tail into an arrow shape. Wings could be added to it’s back as made in the friendly dragon tutorial. The mouth could be narrowed down slightly. See it here:
If you don’t want to make a shaped cake, toppers may be easier and your grandson will have the dragons to keep and play with. You may also find some tutorial in youtube.
