Hi folks

Can I lay an edible cake topper onto a ganached cake or will it go soggy even after the chocolate has set and then attach

Thank you

Hello Ayshea

There is always a certain amount of moisture still luring in set ganache which could migrate into the topper. It depends how hard the topper is and how long it will sit on the cake for. I always place toppers on a little decorated card of their own unless they are made of modelling chocolate. If you lay it on the cake as close to the event as possible, the topper should be fine.
