Can anyone recommend where I can buy a good icing extruder, I purchased one from ebay and it was no good.

I’ve got the red handled extruder made by Tri Tools, is that the same as you have? Mine broke within a couple of hours of using it. Fortunately the company I’ve bought from will exchange but I think the tool is far too flimsy.
You could try the Makins extruder, looks more solid but is not a pump action type. I’ve seen them in Amazon
My dream extruders are by this company http://www.winbeckler.com/Extruders-Clay-Guns-Pasta-Machines-c814.htm They have battery and mains extruders, ……… price??…….. I’ll have to dream on!!

The extruder that madeitwithlove linked is exactly the one that I bought a few months ago. I hated it at the start because I wasn’t making the paste as pliable as it should be. As soon as I got the knack of it I loved it and the price is excellent too. Just make sure you mix the paste with LOTS of trex, I learned that the hard way 🙂

I use the makins , and think it’s great, it also holds a lot of paste, as the chamber is larger than most. It’s easy on your hands too, as has a twisting action, instead of having to push it through.
