Flexible Smoothers

Hi
I am looking to achieve a sharp edge on some wedding cake tiers and 4 of them will be extended tiers. I already have two icing smoothers one of which has a rounded edge, the other one is squared. I’m not sure that these will do the job for the taller cakes. Can anyone offer advice please?

Thanks very much.

Hi bellscakes

Are you perhaps thinking of http://www.squires-shop.com/uk/product/bellissimo-flexi-smoothers
These help sharpen edges and not really intended for using as a complete smoothing tool. I have two large smoothers like these https://www.google.co.uk/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=lRcsU8vZKujR8gfE-4DgBw#q=mitch+turner+cake+smoother&tbm=shop
Mitch Turner has a youtube channel where she demonstrates a lot of her cake equipment. Just search Little Venice cake company.

Once you’ve used the smoothers then use the same technique but with two sheets of acetate ( like the thickness of an X-ray) to achieve the really sharp edges.
