Flowerpaste keeps sticking to my rolling pin, not my board!

H E L P !! Task… putting wires into petals to create a flower.
How can I stop my flower paste sticking to my rolling pin when I roll it out onto my small veining board?
I’m using one of those large white non-sticky rolling pins. (not treated myself to a small one yet)
I tried washing it… dusting it but the paste still sticks to it!! ahhhhhhh!
Does the size of rolling pin matter??? (o: Or is there anything else I can try? PS I tried using 50/50 and SFP straight from the packet. Paul makes it look soooo easy in his tuition videos.

Hi carla

It’s probably the weight of the big rolling pin making the paste too sticky. Try rolling with gently rolling weight and also rub a little trex on the pin itself. Treat yourself to a couple of baby pins, they’re so much easier to work with.

EDIT

50/50 or straight flower paste is fine to use. Hope it works for you!

Wow! Thank you soo much. Felt very glum earlier with my disastrous attempt. Your answer has really cheered me up. I shall get back in the kitchen and have another go. Baby pins will be purchases asap!! (o:
