Flowers for Fresh Cream Cake

Hi
I going to make fresh cream cake and want to add three different colours rose flowers on top of it. I will keep this cake in the fridge all the time so I can’t make flowers with sugar paste. Could anybody tell me what other options I have in order to make rose flower for fresh cream cake.
Thanks

Hi worldwide166

Fresh roses could be used, a bit expensive but it’s an alternative and can also be placed in the fridge for a short time. Roses are edible flowers providing they are organic and have never been chemically sprayed. However, roses purchased from a florist can be placed in posy picks then inserted safely into cake to prevent any sap from the stems seeping in. Another option would be to place sugar flowers on the cake at the latest possible time before presentation. Some information on the use of fresh flowers here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/fresh-flowers-direct-into-cake
Hope this helps.
