Hi I am making a football shirt which is striped. I don’t really want the stripes just put on top so they stick up.

After covering in white fondant can I cut out the stripes and put blue fondant in the gaps so they are level.

Has anyone made a striped shirt that can give me any advice on the best way to go about this.

If you google ‘camiseta del atletico’ you will be taken to a couple of youtube tutorials which show how to achieve stripes slotted together on a football shirt. The tutorial is in Spanish but still easy to follow. Hope it helps.

I’ve just tried it and it no longer goes to youtube! will try another way of getting you to the video.

Try and search that in youtube instead of google, the video should come up.

I’m so pleased you found the video, sometimes if I give a link on youtube it doesn’t necessarily show the one I intended or it uploads the whole thing….. can’t win! Glad the cake turned out so well. x
