Freezing buttercreamed cakes

Thanks everyone for your answers regarding freezing a ganached cake.
I have the same question for a buttercreamed cake. Can i freeze it without damaging it?

Different steps for butter creamed cakes. Try and freeze the cake open for a couple of hours untill the butter cream is rock solid. Gently cover it with several wrappings of cling film expelling any trapped air. Protect futher with foil and thick liner bag. Be careful not to squash the cake, place in a cake box. Butter cream absorbs food flavours very quickly, store well away from strong smells. Defrost as with the ganached cake at room temperature in it’s box.
