frozen buttermilk

I freeze buttermilk. Just to ask if I thaw the buttermilk and then make my cake….is it ok to then freeze the cake as the buttermilk has already been frozen. I know this sounds silly-just wondered.

Hi
It’s not a silly question but yes you can. As long as it’s been baked in a cake, it should be fine.
If you were to freeze butter then bake a cake that would be fine, but if you were to make buttercream with the butter you could not freeze any let over.
I hope this make sense.
