Hi
I notice that hollow dowels seem to have become increasingly popular of late. Is it better to use theses as opposed to the more traditional type?

The hollow dowels are very strong but they’re also pretty expensive compared to the more traditional ones.
It’s personal preference really. I use Paul’s dowelling method with traditional dowels and so far, touch wood, I’ve never had a fail. I’ve got the hollow ones, the lady who makes them gave me a load to try which I really should.
