Hi
I have made the chocolate cake today and it has turned out ok but it looks a lot deeper in pauls videos than mine has turned out and was wondering how deep the cake is?

I’ve baked Paul’s recipe several times in a 3″ deep tin and it always finishes at two and three quarter inches in depth. I believe the cakes used in the tutorials are baked from ready mixes. If you type in the search box ‘chocolate cake recipe’ there is an answer there from David which explains why cake mix is used for the tutorial cakes. Hope this helps.
