How to attach fondant to Styrofoam?

I want to use Styrofoam for practicing so I don’t have to worry about making cakes every time. But when Paul teaches he says “glue” in his videos, does that mean actual glue? If so what kind? What should I use to attach the fondant to the cake dummy, because I know he also uses cake dummies?

Thanks in advance! 😀

Hello sarahbakes

There are several ways to attach icing to a dummy cake. The easiest is just to brush it with some water. Paul showns how to use trex here http://www.cakeflix.com/carousel-cake-lesson-3-icing-the-cake
and he also shows how to make edible glue which can be used instead of water or trex.

A dab or 2 of royal icing does the trick also. Not 2 much or it shows through ad a lump
