Hi how do I go about putting the lid on my cake my idea would be to put maybe 4dowels in bottom cake , and sit second cake ( stryofoam ) on top would I need to secure dowels with edible glue or something else welcome further instruction from any one first time making a open box cake

You can pipe royal icing and use foam to support until dry if an open lid.you don,t need dowels with polystyrene
