Ive been asked to make a cake for a person leaving for australia and just wondering if anybody had any ideas. Im thinking of making a koala bear using the bear cake. Any other ideas would be great.

Cut the cake in the shape o Australia and do it half blue and half light brown grass and do a bush scene with abillabong small pond .like a camping scene.you could have koalas and kangaroos

How about a boomerang shaped cake? If you make hilaryb’s suggestion you could incorporate famous Australian landmarks, places of interest like Ayres Rock, Great Barrier Reef, Bondi Beach, Sydney harbour bridge, The Opera house …… the list goes on. You could also take inspiration from the beach hut tutorial and make shells and surf boards around the shore line. Just a few ideas to play with, perhaps too many? x

I live in australia so I have done loads of aussie cakes with Aussie wild flowers which are complicated but amazing but my aim in life is to meet madeitwithlove
