Hi rituagrawl345

If you don’t want to use gum paste, there are some good firm setting fondants such as Saracino, or use half fondant and half modeling chocolate to make a firm setting medium. Marzipan is also a good modeling agent so long as the person eating the model is not allergic to nuts.

Rice Krispies is another alternative. However, once the topper is made, it requires ‘dressing’ In two layers of your chosen paste medium to cover the bumpy texture of the Rice Krispies.

I hope this makes sense and, again, if you make a Google search for modeling chocolate or rice Krispy carving tutorials, you will see some good techniques. ?
