making a free standing igloo in flower paste/or fondant icing

Hi there, I have made some penguins for a charity cake, and I have tried to make a free standing igloo for them to “decorate”. I have used a round bottomed glass as a mould, but although the igloo looks great, I cannot get it off the glass without the igloo breaking. I have tried lightly greasing the glass, and using corn flour, and baking paper, none of them work. Can anyone help me please?
thanks

Hi anninspain

Sounds like the the igloo has set hard over the glass. You could try heating the inside of the glass with a hair drier just enough to soften the igloo to get movement. I’ve never tried it but it could work, don’t burn yourself!
