I have been asked to make a 3D Celtic Hound Dog cake, which is fine, but how should I make the sports cap to sit on his head. I don’t want to make it from solid sugarpaste, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

You could make it out of florist paste which can be rolled out very thin I find Squire’s Kitchen florist paste the best for very fine rolling and for it’s drying qualities. I’m not sure which type of cap you will be making, however if you google ‘how to make a baseball cap’ there are tutorials and templates for making caps from paper which could be adapted for sugar mediums.
