Making modeling paste black

I want to make my modeling paste black and I have some black sugar paste and white modeling/flower paste. As I want to use it to make some models that are sturdier.I’ve been told that you can mix 50/50 of each but won’t the white mixed with the black make it more grey than black? I’ve tried adding black colored paste to my white modeling/flower paste but it’s more grey than black which I need.

Start with colouring it a dark colour first, something like dark brown or deep purple. Let it develop overnight and gradually add your black. Colour develops overnight. I find Sugarflair ProGel colours best, a little goes a long way.
