Hello bellescakes

Is it the Wilton pan you have? Here are instructions for Wilton moulded pan http://www.wilton.com/shapedpan/Dinosaur-Pan and here for the icing instructions http://www.wilton.com/idea/Dinosaur#.UywI7DnWZVY
If this information doesn’t help please could you post again.

Hello again

Thanks for the information. The cake pan is from Sainsburys and so far I have not been able to see anything on the internet about a recipe for it.
I had a look at the Wilton site thanks and can roughly follow their instructions but it’s the actual cake mix quantity now I’m still not sure about. Any ideas here please?

Thanks

Hi bellescakes

Could please say how deep the pan is? If you have a recipe for an 8″ round 3″ deep cake tin that mixture will be fine for an 8 x 12 x 1.5 inch deep. Let me know if that helps, if not I’ll calculate another tin size which will fit your tin.

There’s also a 8x 12 chocolate cake recipe by member dreamtimecakes here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/toffee-cake/page/2
There are some positive comments from other members who have baked the recipe. Hope it helps.

I’d fill it with water and then measure the water, comparing the amount needed to fill the dinosaur with the amount needed to fill other pans I already have, like a bunt pan, 13×9 etc until I came really close.
