My First Wedding Cake Organisation Help!

Hi there

I have got my first 3 tier wedding cake due for next Friday morning, 6inch, 8inch and 10inch, each tier a different flavour fruit, vanilla and chocolate.

I need help/ advise organising my time, when to start what baking, decorating to keep fresh etc.. around my working day! I was thinking of preparing the fruit cake first as it keeps fresh for longer??

Please help, any advise greatly appreciated, thank you! xx

Hi SomethingSweet29

I would be baking the cakes this weekend and feeding the fruit cake with alcohol and freezing the other cakes until ready to decorate. Using vanilla syrup painted over the vanilla cake will make it stay fresh a bit longer and some Bailleys over the chocolate cake will do the same for it. Hope all goes well – I still get stressed doing a wedding cake and have done quite a few now. Good luck
