My Merida won’t dry…….HEELLPP!!

Any advice would be so welcome to help me dry out my Merida model, I need her for Friday and she’s just not playing!  I am now on her third set of arms and no where near solving the problem. I’ve supported the arms with cocktail sticks, modelling paste is good and strong, but still to no avail. Please guys HELP!

Hi there have you put much much glue on which has made her soggy as sometimes it’s so easy to keep adding moisture in the hope of it sticking. How about colouring the paste and leaving overnight before working with it as colour always softens the paste.  Is it just the arms you are having trouble with? Also add powder gum trag to help dry the paste.

Hi cadburymoon

I’m going to have to make up some more gum paste. This batch is now peeling, the texture of flaky pastry, I think some thing has gone a miss with it. I’ve never had this problem before so can’t shed any light on why this has happened. Thanks for your input, I very much appreciate it. x
