Nutritional Values

Dear All,

Does any of you have any idea how to calculate Nutritional Values for our baked goodies? – I’m wondering about this in order to have a general notion of calories per cupcake, for example, the calories also for a dollop of buttercream, or per serving of cake. I think it would be good to be conscious about what we are feeding our customers, and also for their personal knowledge too. I have a few friends who are workout crazy and want to know what they are putting in their mouths 😛 so-to-speak. It makes good business too!

Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction (and for letting me bore you with my brainy question :P)
Regards,
Cin

Hi MyFairdiva,

that is a really tough question…I would suggest, if you are in business to either approach your local science department in a university or go to business link who may be able to help point you in the right direction. Other than that, all you can do is tell people what they contain and let them decide.

Thanks Jgibb, I think I will keep checking for recipes that have this information. I don’t have a business yet but I have a few testers around 😉 Whenever I go serious with the business I will try to research more.
