Pails chocolate cake frozen

i made Pauls chocolate cake and it was delicious, only problem was that I froze it to be used later and it was a bit squidgy. Do you think this cake is better unfrozen?

I’ve never found the cake to be squidgy after being frozen. The recipe naturally produces a very moist cake and freezing adds to the moistness. Make a little 6″ cake to see the difference, and you can decide which you prefer.
