Paul’s Chocolate Cake Egg substitue.

Hi,

I have made your chocolate cake so many times that it is absolutely fabulous. I would like to use the above recipe but without the Eggs…what can I substitute this with? I have seen other recipes it out there but this one has the right texture and the deep chocolate flavour, so I was hoping you could assist as this has to be alcohol and egg free?

Unfortunately the experiments take a few goes to get the texture and ingredient balance right so I can’t put a specific time on how long it will take. I have to also make sure that the ingredients will translate for a bigger cake. Sometimes small test cakes come out good but scaling up can be a problem.
When do you need this cake by? Can you tell me whether there are any other specific dietry conditons to take into account apart from the alcohol and egg?
Did you have a look at any of the other recipes in the links? Some of them look ok.

Hi,

I would like this by 21st May 2016. I have looked at the other cakes but nobody has managed to cover them with sugarpaste and stack them. There are no other dietary requirements apart for the above. I would like to make a 10″ and 8″ 2 tiered cakes, stacked and covered with sugarpaste. I really would appreciate this.

I’ll do my best Sky Cakes but it is a tall order in such a short time. I’ll post on this thread as soon as I get a decent
result. In the meanwhile though I will also continue looking out for recipes suitable for icing and stacking.

I had hoped that the eggfree recipe which I have in the blog section could have been adapted..Unfortunately it just doesn’t taste or feel right. I’ve also not had a great deal of time to concentrate on improving the recipe. Had the recipe worked out I would have posted sooner. I ‘m so sorry you’ve been disappointed but it was a long shot. x
