Peeling cupcakes

Hi all
I know this has been asked before as I have seen most of the answers. I have a big problem at the moment with peeling cupcake wrappers. I never used to but now virtually every cupcake I make is peeling from its wrapper. I’ve tried most of the tips people have suggested but am now starting to dread people requesting cupcakes. I have just tried culpitt today and got the same result. Has anyone any other suggestions that may not be mentioned on here. Help much appreciated

Sometimes the cheaper wrappers are the best, but could it be the recipe? Also, are you storing them in Tupperware, as this can cause the wrappers to peel away from the buns, very annoying, it’s happened to me. A tip I read was to stir the mixture round in the wrappers, with a spoon, before they go in the oven, strange, but works for me x

Thanks Sharon I’ll give that a go. I usually let them cool on a rack, decorate them then put them straight into the cardboard boxes. I’ll try your suggestions. Really annoying and frustrating, much prefer proper cakes. Thanks for tips, haven’t tried the 1 about stirring them in their wrappers. I’ll try that in some cheaper cases x

Hi Scarlet
I used to have this problem but I did a course online a few years ago and one of the things they suggested to stop wrappers peeling was to take them out of the muffins tins( very carefully) as soon as they come out of the oven to stop any moisture building up around them but I find some muffin cases are better than others.I use Lakeland own brand and have never had any peeling with them ever!….only thing is they only come in white! I don’t know if it’s just co-incidence but if I don’t fill the cases full enough they some times peel away just a little….I always fill 3/4 full. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Lynn. I’ll try those cases too as well as your other tips, pesky little cupcakes x

I used to face the same problem. I used a tip online, bake and store them in cardboard boxes the day before delivery. Taking them out of the baking tin ASAP is also a must. I give them roughly 5mins before I transfer them to a cooling rack.
