Quantitity and mixing cocoaform modelling chocolate

Hi , have never used modelling chocolate before and was wondering if you can combine white and dark pastes to make lighter milk chocolate colour.
I am making a wedding cake which has all 3 colours and not sure about the quantities that I require as I am doing close wavy curls out of strips of cocoa form in a helter skelter design in the 3 colours. (not sure how to desribe it or if that makes sense) It will be the same size as Pauls chocolate wrap cake that he demonstrates.(3 tiers with a cone on top.
Be great if you could assist with quantity and whether the colours can be mixed as it is expensive .
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Jlo

The recipes for making dark, milk and white modelling paste do vary but I find mixing white and dark paste together in small quantities doesn’t compromise it’s strenghth. However for bigger quantities I would go carefully.
Here’s a great quantities chart which you might find helpful:

Hope it helps.
