Rose dome
I am considering using a polystyrene half ball to create a dome of roses on the top tier of a wedding cake.To enable it to be lifted off the cake I was thinking of sticking the ball on a miniature cake board, has anyone done this if so what is the best way of securing the ball to the board ,and the board to the sugarpaste covered cake.I would appreciate any advice
Thank you

HI, I would use a glue gun to adhere the ball to the board, or try Royal Icing or chocolate. I would use sugar glue, piping gel, RI, chocolate or buttercream to adhere the fondant to the board.

Hi, I have made roses on a cake and used a dome of sugarpaste on a card. Make it a couple of days before you need it. You can see my cakes on Facebook. Jackie – The Cake Lady. I was shown how to do this when I went to a course at mrs jones. Hope this helps.
Thanks Jackie your cakes are amazing
